Miniature American Shepherd History

Miniature American Shepherds formally known as Miniature Australian Shepherds were established back in the late 1960’s in California. Originally the breed was not recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) until May 2011. The breed was registered with the National Stock Dog Registry in 1980.
