Why do dogs have long names?

Every dog the is registered with the AKC is required. Each kennel has its own specific title that they attach to each puppy that they breed. The registered names cannot be repeated in the breed. The registered names correspond with their pedigree that allows people and other breeders to follow the breeding program or dog of their choice. Breeders use a name checker to make sure that the names that they would like to use have not been used.
